Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Individuals admitted to the PHP level of care will participate in 5 group counseling sessions (6 hours a day) and 1 individual counseling session (1 hour) a week (lunch is provided). The focus of counseling sessions throughout the treatment experience is both didactic and process oriented. Psycho-education material will be presented with the goal of providing education on physical factors related to substance misuse and/or abuse, as well as possible health implications. In addition to engaging in informative group sessions, process groups will afford individuals the space and opportunity to connect with others shared experiences as they embark on their common journey of a full recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP):

Individuals admitted to the IOP level of care will participate in 3 group counseling sessions(3 days/ week -3 Hours/ Session) and 1 individual counseling session(1 Hour/Session in addition to group sessions) each week. The focus of counseling sessions throughout the treatment experience is both didactic and process oriented. Psycho-educational material will be presented with the goal of providing education on physical factors related to substance misuse and/or abuse, as well as possible health implications. Outpatient Services (OP):

Individuals admitted to the OP level of care will participate in 2 group counseling sessions(2 days/ week -3 Hours/ Session) and 1 individual counseling session(1 Hour/Session in addition to group sessions) each week. Group counseling sessions at this level of care will cover a range of educational topics to support each client in developing a full knowledge of their health related condition and possible implications. Process group sessions will support each person to explore underlying causes and conditions that may be perpetuating substance misuse or abuse.

Individual Counseling:

This one hour weekly session will provide a safe space for exploring personal issues in-depth while investing in a collaborative relationship with a qualified and compassionate counselor. Clients will be supported in gaining insight and identifying personal strengths, as well as being assisted to resolve barriers to change as they move forward in the healing process of recovery.

Couples Counseling Services:

This service is available for clients who are interested in experiencing supportive counseling while endeavoring to repair and rebuild intimate relationships that have been adversely affected in the cycle of addiction. Couples counseling sessions will be scheduled as appropriate based on client need and scheduling ability.

Family Counseling:

Substance misuse and/or abuse can often strain primary relationships to the point where there may seem there is no return. At Lakeside Recovery Center family counseling sessions serve to assist family members in communicating more effectively as healing takes place and loving relations are restored.

Alcohol and Drug Screening Services:

Upon admission and as a condition of continued program participation all clients will be required to provide routine and/or random alcohol and drug screens. All screening will be monitored by a qualified member of the treatment team.

Social Support Network Development Services:

Throughout the course of treatment each client will be assisted through counseling and education to research and develop social supports available to them for establishing abstinence and stabilizing in early recovery. These supports are an essential element in building a firm foundation for long term sobriety and on-going recovery.

Recovery Maintenance / Discharge Planning:

Clients engaged in counseling services will be supported to develop a comprehensive treatment plan based on individual circumstance, available resources, and current need. This will cultivate strategies for linkages in the larger community to assist individuals in maintaining recovery post treatment and provide a concrete plan for sustaining abstinence and recovery upon discharge. Referral services will be provided for continued professional support post program completion based upon client need
